19.10.2006: GlycoVaxyn wins the Life Sciences Prize 2006

GlycoVaxyn was awarded the Life Sciences Prize 2006, which is under the patronage of the Swiss Biotech Association and the BioValley Basel Association, on October 18th, 2006. 06.07.2006: GlycoVaxyn announces its first institutional financing round

GlycoVaxyn announces that it has completed its first institutional financing round in early July 2006, co-led by Index Ventures (www.indexventures.com) and Sofinnova Partners (www.sofinnova.fr). The proceeds from this financing will be used for the validation of GlycoVaxyn’s proprietary bacterial glycosylation technology. The funds are dedicated to advance GlycoVaxyn’ conjugated vaccine development programs against several bacterial pathogens of clinical significance. Furthermore, experimental work will address the widening of the scope of the technology, particularly by including different established carrier proteins as acceptors for bacterial sugar antigens.
GlycoVaxyn welcomes Graziano Seghezzi and Dr. Francesco de Rubertis as new Board members, representing Sofinnova Partners and Index Ventures, respectively.

01.12.2005: GlycoVaxyn has moved to the Tuwag Areal in Wädenswil

We are very pleased to announce that GlycoVaxyn is a new company located in the grow technology center within the Tuwag Areal in Wädenswil, Zürich. GlycoVaxyn will benefit from brand new lab facilities and proximity to the Hochschule Wädenswil. Our new setup will facilitate the ongoing collaboration with the Hochschule Wädenswil on the recently granted CTI-project. New Address

01.11.2005: Cooperation on conjugated vaccine production process started

A collaboration of GlycoVaxyn with the Hochschule Wädenswil (CTI-Project Nr. 7931.1 LSPP-LS) for the upscaling and improvement of the production process of a novel conjugated vaccine of GlycoVaxyn has started. The project leader is Dr. Julian Ihssen from the group of Prof. Karin Kovar at bioprocess technology.

08.07.2005: GlycoVaxyn signs exclusive license contract with the ETH Zurich

Today, the ETH handed over the license contract to GlycoVaxyn that allows GlycoVaxyn the exclusive use of two patent applications that were filed to protect the technology of protein glycosylation in bacterial cells. More (in german only)
